Couser v. Comenity Bank Settlement

A few days ago I received a card in the mail from claims administrator for the Couser v. Comenity Bank settlement, at first I was suspicious and so I did a little research and here is what I found.
They claim in the mailer they send out that you will get a payment of $500 to $1,500, this is not true.  The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) allows for this as the maximum fines but the settlement that Comenity Bank  made sates the following:
Each class member would receive anywhere from 98 cents — if all class members submit claims — to more than $32 if just 3 percent or fewer submit claims
So you will not get more than $32.00 not the $500 to $1,500 they claim you’ll get.  And I know what your thinking “it’s still free money!” and yes it is but you’ll be taxed on what every you get and do you really want to have to figure out the tax implications of $0.98?
I for one will not be claiming this since for one I don’t want to deal with the tax issues for such a small amount of money, and second I don’t really trust these people, if they are willing
